See You in Palm Springs!

Gearing up for the Flying Aviation Expo in Palm Springs, California, this weekend.

The entire Flying team is getting ready to head for sunny Palm Springs to oversee final preparations for Flying Aviation Expo at the Palm Springs Convention Center, which kicks off on Thursday, October 15, with the Parade of Planes through the streets of downtown. Based on pre-registration numbers, it’s going to be a great show, with thousands of visitors making their way to the southern California desert for three days of pilot paradise.

If you haven’t yet made up your mind whether to go, all I can say is do it. You’ll be glad you did. Inside, the convention center will be brimming with exhibitors, from headset makers to avionics suppliers to app developers and more. Ringing the convention center outside will be scores of gorgeous airplanes from Cirrus, Cessna, Mooney, Diamond, Tecnam, Aviat, Eclipse, Epic, TBM, Cub Crafters, and many more. Feel free to kick the tires and settle in to the left seat. Heck, bring your checkbook and fly one home!

Dozens of educational seminars and tech talks will be featured each day of the show October 15-17, as well as keynote sessions each morning. I’ll be hosting a talk on the future of electric airplanes, with some surprising announcements, on Friday morning at 9 a.m. There will even be a series of Learn to Fly seminars for non-pilots. I look forward to seeing you there.

Visit aviation-xpo.com for more details, and if you’re flying in be sure to check out the FAA’s arrival and departure procedures for the show.
