FBO Spotlight: Blue Ridge Regional Airport (KMTV)

Flying reader Roy Brewer's electrical failure turned into a positive experience thanks to this Virginia FBO.

In our FBO Spotlight series, we’re highlighting FBOs around the country that have received rave reviews from our readers. This latest Spotlight is brought to you by Roy Brewer, who recently flew into Blue Ridge Regional Airport in a Rockwell Commander 114. Here’s what he has to say about the airport’s FBO.

FBO Spotlight: Blue Ridge Regional Airport (KMTV)
Martinsville, Virginia

“I had an electrical failure (alternator) on a Saturday afternoon while returning from a long trip. The FBO manager got their A&P to troubleshoot the problem, order the part and obtain a rental car (got the local Enterprise manager to come from home to get one) outside normal business hours. I came back a week later to get the aircraft and experienced the best airport restaurant I have ever experienced. The restaurant name is the Flying Pig and it was so good I had some barbecue and sauce prepared to take a few pounds back home with me.”
