This process requires a high skill set but produces sturdy welds and helps create a strong, light airplane.** Many avionics options are available for the Husky, including a full IFR package. While VFR only, the most popular option includes a Garmin GPSMap 696 MFD. Fat Alaskan Bushwheel tires are popular options since they raise the fuselage and help absorb impact, enabling landings on rough surfaces. The tandem seating arrangement, center stick and door design for the cockpit and baggage areas reveal the Husky’s Piper Super Cub lineage.
