Bell 407 and the G1000H

Garmin’s innovative G1000 comes to helicopters for the first time.

While its primary mission has been to serve the corporate, police, EMS and offshore oil markets, the Bell 407 has found a niche with private owners as well.
Pressure from European helicopter maker’s has forced Bell to up its interiors game, which it has done nicely in the back of the 407.
The Bell 407GX continues a long legacy that stretches back to the original 206 JetRanger introduced in 1967.
Bell 407 pilot Geoerge Mandes praised the GX model’s G1000H cockpit for packing a lot of capability without restricting the view outside. For more, check out our in-depth coverage of the Bell 407 GX.
