Video: Cat Surprises Pilot in Flight

Cats have been known to take naps in all kinds of places. But one cat got the surprise of a lifetime when it woke up inside the wing of an ultralight as the aircraft took off. Imagine the surprise of the pilot when he saw the feline emerge at the wingroot.

The astonished look on the pilot's face as he sees the cat in the attached video is quite entertaining. It appears that he didn't want to frighten his passenger by letting her in on the surprise. But he turns around immediately toward the airport. As they descend to land, the passenger notices the cat as well with the same shocked look.

Pilot Romain Jantot said he is unsure whether he simply didn't see the cat during the preflight or if it climbed into the wing after he had completed the preflight.

Fortunately the incident had a happy ending as the cat managed to hang on until the aircraft was safely on the ground and Jantot pulled it out of the wing.
