Pilots and their pristine airplanes are gearing up to strut their stuff for the upcoming Parade of Planes at the Flying Aviation Expo, which will kick off on Thursday, October 30, in beautiful Palm Springs, California.
Everything from backcountry taildraggers like the Husky A-1C, vintage warbirds such as the P-63 Kingcobra, airshow stars like the Pitts S-2B and light jets such as the Eclipse will participate in the event. The aircraft will taxi down East Alejo Road and North Avenida Caballeros as they make their way from Palm Springs International Airport to the convention center.
The Parade will begin at 10 a.m. on Thursday morning, and the planes will reverse course on Sunday from 2 to 4 p.m. as they make the journey back to the airport.
Those looking to participate in the Parade of Planes should contact Mike Carlucci at 203-515-8884 or mike@lifteventmanagement.com.
In addition to the Parade of Planes, the Aviation Expo will feature more than 50 educational seminars and panel discussions, a static display and exhibit hall featuring more than 150 companies, and nightly entertainment such as a Halloween-themed evening at the Palm Springs Air Museum and pool-side wine tasting at the Hilton.
Tickets for the Flying Aviation Expo are available at aviation-xpo.com, and single day passes start at just $45.
