We know because we’re built that way too. And we want to launch 2023 with a healthy dose of excitement. That’s why we’re pleased to announce the Ultimate FLYING Giveaway!
The grand prize? An ICON A5 amphibious light sport aircraft that’s proven to be a winner both on the water and in the air. We plan to select one lucky winner to fly the A5 home—after a new rating and/or transition training also provided with the prize package—and make the announcement at Sun ‘n Fun Aerospace Expo 2024.
We’ll also spread the love throughout 2023 and into 2024 with hand-picked monthly prizes, including headsets, avionics, flight training gear, and a special swag pack from FLYING and Flight Outfitters.
Your first entry comes with your subscription—though there’s no purchase necessary and an alternate means to enter in the rules. You can score additional entries by signing up your friends and family for gift subscriptions.
Why the A5?
You may wonder how we selected the ICON A5 to be our sweepstakes airplane for the Ultimate FLYING Giveaway.
For us, it was a no-brainer—because it’s approachable and aspirational both for pilots-to-be or those who have been flying for a while and relish a new challenge. Its phenomenal low-speed handling characteristics lend it a high degree of safety for new pilots, yet allow you to get in and out of compact airstrips or rivers, lakes, and other waterways with ease.
If you don’t have your single-engine sea rating, we can fix that for you. If you win, that is! We’ll also have an alternate prize available in case you live far from navigable water. So, we have you covered—it’s time to enter, and to sign up your friends for a year of FLYING.
There’s no purchase necessary to enter or win our sweepstakes. Private pilots and prospective private pilots who are legal residents of the 50 United States and the District of Columbia, 18 years or older, may start entering on January 1, 2023.
