OMF recently announced that it would build a four-place version of its popular Symphony two-place touring airplane. The four-seater will cruise at a projected 145 knots and do so while carrying four adults, their bags and full fuel.
OMF has chosen a 250-hp Lycoming IO-540-C for the new model. Base price will be $190,000, says OMF. The company anticipates first flight of the four-seater later this year and certification in early 2005.
The airplanes will be built in a new factory located in Trois Rivières, Quebec, Canada-the company’s largest market is North America. Construction on the new facility is expected to begin later this summer.
