Once again, Flying magazine is supporting the Corporate Angel Network by hosting the CAN 2008 Benefit Raffle to support the charity. CAN coordinates flights for cancer patients on corporate jets with empty seats. An official NBAA charity, CAN will award a Best Buy gift certificate of $3,300 toward a flat-panel video screen and HD-DVD player. In addition, Bose Corporation is donating a 3.2.1 GSX Series II DVD home entertainment audio system as part of the package. Recommended tax deductible donations for tickets are $25 each; $100 for a book of five and $150 for a book of seven, which includes an autographed copy of Paul Bowen’s newest book, Air to Air: Mustangs & Corsairs. The legendary aviation photographer will be on hand at the Flying display booth (No. 5129) to personally sign copies of the book. The winning ticket will be drawn on Wednesday, October 8, at the Flying booth. The winner does not need to be present — but it’s more fun when he or she is there.
