Spike Aerospace has revealed a futuristic interior for its S-512 supersonic business jet, currently in the development phase. The high-tech cabin has been designed with no windows. Instead, the cabin walls are embedded with massive computer screens, allowing the occupants to choose the view.
Should Spike make its cool SSBJ design a reality, its passengers will be able to choose from such displays as, a selection of scenic photography, movies, PowerPoint presentations, dimmed or dark screens for sleeping, or panoramic views of the exterior environment, provided by cameras outside the airplane. In addition to providing a cool look, the windowless cabin eliminates the issues of providing additional structural support for the windows, allowing engineers to design a lighter fuselage with less drag.
