Wayne Nebraska Airport Tornado Damage

Tornadoes that recently hit Nebraska devastated Wayne Municipal Airport/Stan Morris Field.

This is the remains of the brand new hangar and FBO office, not even in use yet. (Photos and captions courtesy of Rick Alter, EAA Chapter 291 President.)
This is the old FBO office. What they say is true, the bathroom is the only thing left standing. (Photos and captions courtesy of Rick Alter, EAA Chapter 291 President.)
The house is completely gone, only the foundation is left. John and his wife hid in the basement. He got hit in the head from debris and had a 4 inch gash that needed to be stitched up — very lucky. In the background is the middle hangar, the only one left. What you see in front of it is where the first row of T-hangars used to be. Nothing left. This is the third row of hangars. This is Bill Rohde's hangar, where mine has been for the last six months. I'm glad his and mine were both back in SUX. (Photos and captions courtesy of Rick Alter, EAA Chapter 291 President.)
The owner of this airplane just bought it and only rode in it once. (Photos and captions courtesy of Rick Alter, EAA Chapter 291 President.)
This Corvette was being stored by his dad while he is in Afghanistan. The far side of the car is demolished. (Photos and captions courtesy of Rick Alter, EAA Chapter 291 President.)
Here is a picture of a Tri-Pacer that was found a half mile away from the hangar. (Photos and captions courtesy of Rick Alter, EAA Chapter 291 President.)
This is out in the corn field way north of the airport. (Photos and captions courtesy of Rick Alter, EAA Chapter 291 President.)
This was taken from the runway. There is just the one T-hangar left. (Photos and captions courtesy of Rick Alter, EAA Chapter 291 President.)
