Because the G1000 engine monitoring system in the Ovation3 is not set up for the parameters of the upgraded IO-550 engine, Mooney installs a standalone tachometer that shows the proper redline.
Intercepting the localizer for the ILS Rwy 12R at San Antonio on a busy IFR day with the wind howling. The GFC 700 autopilot in the Ovation3 did an admirable job of flying the approach.
