From Beechcraft, the Musketeer line filled this the four-seat, simple-aircraft role.
Though some piston-engine singles perported to have six seats, this cutaway mockup shows the rearmost two were fit for small children and dolls, at best.
Cessna dominates the fleet in this category with its Model 172 Skyhawk and 182 Skylanes, all built in the high-wing, fixed-gear tradition.
