The National Association of Flight Instructors is welcoming Brian Wynne as its new executive director. Wynne is also assuming the role of the president of the NAFI board of directors.

Wynne holds a commercial pilot certificate and has been a pilot for more than 30 years, these days flying a SOCATA Trinidad. His aviation instructor experience includes being an instrument ground instructor (IGI) and working toward being an instrument flight instructor (CFII).

Wynne boasts a long history of working with aviation associations in a leadership role, including participating on several FAA aviation rulemaking committees. As president and CEO of the Association for Uncrewed Vehicle Systems International (AUVSI), the world’s largest nonprofit organization dedicated to the advancement of unmanned systems, he has collaborated extensively with other aviation associations and testified before Congress more than 10 times to educate lawmakers on the role of uncrewed vehicles.
