WingX Pro7 Comes to Android

Hilton Software announced at the Sun 'n Fun show this week that it has added its WingX Pro7 aviation software to Android tablets and smartphones. Users will only require one subscription to use the software over multiple platforms.

Unlike WingX Pro7's iOS version, the Android software is compatible with Lockheed Martin Flight Service's online functionality, a service that will be added to the iPad and iPhone-compatible software soon.

Hilton Software's founder Hilton Goldstein said the Android software includes most of the iOS version's WingX Pro7 capabilities, such as the 3D moving map, including TFRs, and split-screen functionality. However, there are some features that are not yet included in the Android package, such as WingX Rewind, which allows you to replay your flight, and ADS-B capabilities. These functions will be added soon.

Goldstein also announced that the company now offers free subscriptions to certified flight instructors, who are finding the WingX Rewind particularly helpful for instructional purposes, Goldstein said. If you are a CFI, simply go to hiltonsoftware.com/cfi to sign up.
