The European Aviation Safety Agency (EASA) has approved Jeppesen’s Flight Deck Pro and Mobile TC Pro apps for iPad and iOS, marking its first approval of iPad charting applications.
These approved electronic flight bag (EFB) apps are now authorized for use during all phases of flight.
This EASA approval is a crucial step towards Civil Aviation Authority approvals, enabling Jeppesen to market these applications to European airlines.
On November 15, the European Aviation Safety Agency approved its first iPad charting apps. EASA gave its blessing to Jeppesen’s Flight Deck Pro and Mobile TC Pro apps for iPad and iOS.
The iPad electronic flight bags (EFBs) may be used in all phases of flight, and opens the way for Civil Aviation Authority approval required for Jeppesen to market the apps to European airlines.
