Professional Pilot

Located in Lynchburg, Virginia, Liberty University offers aviation degrees and certificates in all levels. Students can choose between one associate degree, seven bachelor’s degrees with eight different concentrations, a master’s degree option with four concentrations, three possible minors, and two certificates in aviation related fields. Some of the options can be done completely online, some are hybrid models, and some, like the flight concentrations, are in-person only. This allows flexibility to students while still ensuring the value of their degree.

Located in Boca Raton, Florida, Lynn University offers three aviation bachelor’s degree paths,and one MBA in Aviation Management. All programs have an online option, as well.

Located in West Windsor, New Jersey, Mercer County Community College offers two aviation associate degree programs and two certificate programs. The Aviation Flight Technology program is the only accredited aviation degree program in New Jersey and the Southeastern Pennsylvania region.

Located in Jacksonville, Florida, Jacksonville University offers three aviation bachelor’s degree programs with six concentrations to choose from as well as a master’s program. The university’s School of Aviation has educated and trained future professional pilots and aviation executives for more than 32 years and boasts a 100 percent employment rate.

Located in Longview, Texas, LeTourneau University offers five associate degree options, six bachelor’s degree options, certificate programs, and a number of concentrations to choose from. LeTourneau University also offers flight rating training without being enrolled in a degree program.

Students can transfer all credits to the University of Wisconsin-Oshkosh and finish a Bachelor of Applied Studies in Aviation Management completely online.

Located in Hampton, Virginia, Hampton University offers three bachelor degree options in aviation. It also offers a minor in the field. Since 1985, Hampton graduates have entered the industry as airport operators, pilots, and air traffic controllers. Hampton University is the only historically black college and university (HBCU) with an FAA-approved Air Traffic-Collegiate Training program.
