Lewis University

Located in Romeoville, Illinois, Lewis University offers six different Bachelor of Science programs and one master’s program. Lewis University started in the early 1930s as an aviation technical school, which helped them become a highly regarded College of Aviation Science today. This university is a good fit for students looking for a hands on experience and small class sizes.

Program Highlights

Lewis houses its own airport just southwest of Chicago. This means no commute time for students.

The school is part of Region 8 of the National intercollegiate Flying Association.

Value

Lewis University is a mid-priced University with high-end connections. Tuition is about $35,000 with an additional $14,000-16,000 a year for a flight student.

Fleet and Facilities

Lewis provides 23 aircraft for training.

The fleet consists of:

Students finishing the Lewis program can take advantage of the 500-hour ATP reduction.

Campus Life

Life at Lewis University has a very traditional college feel. The school has NCAA division II athletics, club sports, and arts and theater electives. Students can also join one of the many organizations, including Lewis Aviators or Alpha Eta Rho.

The college has three freshman residence halls and 10 upperclassmen housing facilities. On-campus dining is also available.

The Bottom Line
