The new turbocharged Cirrus SR22-G3 is proving highly popular and is expected to outsell normally aspirated versions, driven by its enhanced performance and the new option to combine turbocharging with air conditioning.
The G3 features over 700 improvements, most notably significant aerodynamic changes like an all-new wing design that greatly enhances handling, along with increased fuel capacity and refined interior elements.
Its turbonormalizing system maintains 100% power up to 25,000 feet, offering impressive climb rates and cruise speeds (up to 222 knots true), requiring pilots to adapt to high-altitude operational demands like oxygen use and descent management.
