Sporty’s Gives Away Skycatcher

** Matthew Smolin was announced as the winner
of this Sporty’s Skycatcher this weekend.**

Under sunny skies, Sporty's handed out free hot dogs and announced the winner of this year's sweepstakes airplane this weekend at its annual fly-in at the Clermont County Airport (I69) in Batavia, Ohio. Matthew Smolin from Germantown, Tennessee, won a Cessna Skycatcher LSA.

Smolin was not present to accept his new airplane, but approximately 1,000 people were in attendance and about 200 airplanes arrived for the annual fly-in. The free event included a long list of exhibitors and seminars by companies such as Garmin, ForeFlight and Aspen Avionics. In addition to the sweepstakes announcement, Rudy Frasca was inducted into the Flight Instructor Hall of Fame as part of the event.

Sporty's also announced the 2013 Sweepstakes airplane – a Legend Cub produced by American Legend. Each order from Sporty's provides an entry into its annual airplane Sweepstakes. If you're a Sporty's customer your chances of winning the taildragger may not be great, but they're a whole lot better than winning the lottery and you get something for the cost of your entry.
