Honeywell Announces Upgrades to Bizjet Cockpits

At the European Business Aviation Convention and Exhibition in Geneva this week, Honeywell announced upgrades to the avionics system that forms the basis for Gulfstream's PlaneView avionics suite and Dassault Falcon's EASy integrated avionics package. The upgrades include functionality for future air navigation system (FANS1/A); wide area augmentation system localizer performance with vertical guidance (WAAS LPV) and required navigation performance special aircraft and aircrew authorization required (RNP SAAAR) operations. Honeywell said it had also delivered load software to Dassault for its synthetic vision upgrade to the EASy cockpit. Dassault plans to certify its EASy Phase II cockpit updates later this year and add FANS1/A capability early next year.
