The occasion was the first convention of the Citation Jet Pilots Association, primarily representing owner-pilots of Cessna’s line of business jets. John Hayes, who heads the group he founded nearly one year ago, said the event was an opportunity for like-minded pilots and aircraft operators to meet and share information about their aircraft and register organized feedback for the manufacturer.

Speakers included Ed Bolen, president of the National Business Aviation Association and Craig Fuller, president of the Aircraft Owners and Pilots Association – and owner pilot of a Citation CJ3. Corporate participants included Cessna, FlightSafety International, Garmin, King Schools, Pratt & Whitney Canada, Rockwell Collins and Williams International.
