Good news is in short supply in the aviation industry these days. But CAE Flight Training Services has announced that close to 50 Embraer Phenom 100 customers have completed the 14-day pilot training course for the hot selling light jet. The program launched at CAE’s Dallas facility in September, and a cadre of government officials from the FAA, EASA and ANAC (Brazil’s aviation authority) have also completed the course. The demand has led to the construction of a second Phenom simulator (which will also serve as a trainer for the larger Phenom 300) which is expected on line later this year. Training in the Phenom 300 is expected to start before year end.
