NBAA Announces 2019 List of “40 Under 40” Young Professionals

Emerging leaders to be honored at NBAA-BACE October 22-23 in Las Vegas.

Like all aviation associations, the National Business Aviation Association (NBAA) keeps a sharp focus on the "next generation" of young leaders entering the aviation workforce. One of the association's most visible initiatives in this regard is their Young Professionals in Business Aviation Council (YoPro), the group tasked with choosing NBAA's 2019 "40 Under 40" list.

“Rising leaders from across the world are bringing fresh ideas and valuable perspectives to business aviation, elevating the industry to ever-greater heights,” said NBAA President and CEO Ed Bolen. “NBAA is privileged to share the stories of these dynamic young women and men.”

The 2019 “40 Under 40” list includes young professionals working now in all aspects of aviation, including airport business, brokers/sales, business management, cabin attendants, maintenance, marketing, pilots, schedulers/dispatchers and leaders in innovation. “The YoPro council chose the 40 professionals based upon their professional accomplishments, innovative spirit, character attributes and dedication to the business aviation community,” said Dan Hubbard, NBAA Senior Vice President, Communications. “This class is especially significant because they are all contributing to workforce development in some way, as well as community involvement outside of just aviation.”

NBAA is highlighting these young professionals at their 2019 Business Aviation Convention & Exhibition in Las Vegas, Nevada with a YoPro Networking Reception on October 22 and the keynote presentation on October 23. The association’s focus on growing the industry’s young talent will continue at the inaugural Emerging Leaders Conference, to be held in Orlando, Florida, from February 26-27, 2020.

“The Emerging Leaders Conference will focus on ensuring the newest members of the workforce gain new skills in management, professionalism, and leadership and grant access to mentors and companies to help in their pursuit of an aviation career. Attendees will leave with either tangible benefits to their organization or to prepare them for securing a position within the industry,” Hubbard added.
