Gulfstream Delivers the Final G550

The final G550 delivery means there are now more than 2,900 Gulfstream aircraft that have been delivered around the world. Gulfstream Aerospace

Gulfstream Aerospace said in a news release on July 1. that the company delivered the final commercial Gulfstream G550 to an international customer on June 30.

The award-winning G550 entered service in 2003 as the launch platform for the Gulfstream PlaneView flight deck that included an enhanced vision system—now known as Enhanced Flight Vision System (EFVS)—as a standard feature. That certification led the way for subsequent aircraft to incorporate the pilot safety tool in their array of offerings. More than 600 G550s have been delivered since 2003. Each can fly 6,750 nm/12,501 km at Mach 0.80, putting the aircraft at the top of its class, all while earning more than 55 speed records. Totaling all models delivered means that Gulfstream has more than 2,900 aircraft in service around the world.

Gulfstream’s fleet currently includes the super-midsize Gulfstream G280, the award-winning Gulfstream G650, the high-performing Gulfstream G650ER and an all-new aircraft family, the clean-sheet Gulfstream G500, Gulfstream G600, and new industry flagship, the Gulfstream G700.
