The Nextant 400XT has received FAA certification, Nextant Aerospace announced on Wednesday, marking the final step in the approval process for one of the most extensively refurbished business jets on the market.

The Nextant 400XT is a remanufactured Beechjet 400A upgraded with Williams FJ44-3AP turbofan engines and Rockwell Collins Pro Line 21 avionics. The jet has a range of 2,005 nm and a cruise speed of 460 knots, specs that parallel those of new light jets.

The Nextant 400XT comes with a two-year, tip-to-tail warranty, a feature the company hopes will attract buyers seeking the security of buying new.

According to Nextant, first retail deliveries of the jet will begin this month as the company completes part of a 40-plane order from fractional jet provider Flight Options.
