Cessna Aircraft said it has received an order from AirSprint Private Aviation of Calgary, Alberta, for nine** Citation CJ2+** business jets in a deal valued at more than $60 million at list prices.

AirSprint is a Canadian fractional ownership provider that is seeking to become a major player in the industry by expanding operations across North America. The company took delivery of its first CJ2+ earlier this week and will add the remaining eight Citations as it expands its service in the next 24 to 30 months.

The Citations will gradually replace AirSprint’s fleet of Pilatus PC-12 turboprops. The company also operates Citation Excel and XLS midsize jets.

AirSprint formed in 2000 as Canada’s first business jet fractional ownership venture.
