Flying’s 2019 Innovation Award Winner To Be Revealed at AirVenture

Five contenders vie for one of aviation's most coveted prizes.

Who will take home the biggest prize during AirVenture? Flying magazine will reveal the winner of the 2019 Flying Innovation Award at an event in Oshkosh, Wisconsin, on Monday, July 22, the opening day of EAA AirVenture.

The winner of the prize will be named from among the winners of this year’s Flying Editors’ Choice Awards announced in January. The nominees include Garmin’s TXi series of touchscreen retrofit cockpits, the Pilatus PC-24 and Gulfstream G500 business jets, the Vashon Ranger LSA and the Lancair Mako high-performance single.

The award is presented to the most innovative product in general aviation throughout all of the world to have reached the market in the previous year.

Winners of the first two annual Flying Innovation Awards were the Cirrus Vision Jet in 2017 and the HondaJet in 2018.

The recipient of the 2019 prize will be announced at flyingmag.com and on Flying‘s social media channels immediately after Monday evening’s ceremony.
