Other aircraft manufacturers developed pressurized piston singles before Cessna began producing the P210, but most were plagued by problems that shortened their production runs or kept them from ever reaching production. Cessna managed to get it right with the P-210, which drew on experience the company had while producing the earlier P337 Skymaster centerline light twin.
