Each day, the team at Aircraft For Sale picks an airplane that catches our attention because it is unique, represents a good deal, or has other interesting qualities. You can read Aircraft For Sale: Today’s Top Pick at FLYINGMag.com daily.

Today’s Top Pick is a 1968 Beechcraft 36 Bonanza.

By the late 1960s, the Beechcraft Bonanza  and its “straight-tail” Debonair sibling had been so popular for so long that it might have seemed difficult to find ways to improve them.

Quite a few pilots, however, were looking for an extra pair of seats. Both Cessna and Piper had recognized the demand and begun satisfying it with the 210 Centurion and Cherokee Six.

Beechcraft initially pitched the 36 model as a utility aircraft aimed mainly at carrying cargo in its extended cabin. Soon the company discovered that pilots were more interested in using the space for carrying more passengers. Since then the A36 has been a dream machine for many GA pilots—a fast, responsive, luxurious six-seater capable of a broad range of missions.

The aircraft for sale today is a first-year model of the six-seat Bonanza with the rare cabin layout with all six seats facing forward instead of the club configuration. For many passengers who feel uncomfortable facing rearward—and there are a lot of them—this 36 Bonanza could have particular appeal.

This 1968 36 Bonanza has 6,938 hours on the airframe, 1,435 hours since overhaul on its engine, and 2,086 hours since overhaul on its propeller. The aircraft is equipped with a dual yoke, A36 wing tips, and a speed slope windshield.

The IFR panel includes a Garmin G3X Touch 10.7-inch display, G3X 7-inch display, GTN 650 GPS/nav/com, GNC 215 nav/com, PS Engineering audio panel, Garmin G5 EFI, Garmin 345 transponder, and GFC 500 autopilot.

Pilots looking for a fast, comfortable, cross-country traveling aircraft with the added versatility of a six-place cabin should consider this 1968 Beechcraft 36 Bonanza, which is available for $269,500 on Aircraft ForSale.
