Piper Aircraft Names New Brand Ambassadors at the University of North Dakota

Carson Calhoun and Piper Hechtl will share their training journey on social media and at aviation events

Piper Aircraft has selected two new brand ambassadors at the University of North Dakota. The ambassadors, freshman Carson Calhoun and junior Piper Hechtl, will replace two recently graduated seniors.

“Piper and Carson both hold FAA private pilot certificates and are currently working on their instrument rating,” Jackie Carlon, senior director of marketing and corporate communications at Piper, said in a statement. “Additionally, they are pursuing a Bachelor of Science degree in aeronautics with a major in commercial aviation.”

Piper’s brand ambassador program is designed to create a collaborative environment between Piper and its flight school customers. Having a presence on campus through ambassadors, Piper’s goal is to increase the awareness of the aviation degree pathways offered at the participating schools and to offer a look into the life of a collegiate flight student.

Calhoun and Hechtl will join a group of our other ambassadors—two from the University of North Dakota, one from Purdue University and one from Minnesota State University at Mankato—who are representing Piper on campuses. The ambassadors will share their experiences and training journey through social media and speak at aviation events to talk about their programs and campus life experience.

“We look forward to both Piper and Carson sharing their training experience and providing a glimpse into the exciting life of a pilot in training. Their high energy and passion for aviation make them ideal brand ambassadors for Piper Aircraft and UND. We look forward to following their aviation journey.” Carlon said.
