By now you have most likely seen the failed launch of the Orbital Sciences’ Antares rocket that was set to deliver cargo to the International Space Station last night. The explosion of the rocket occurred at 6:22 p.m. after its attempted launch at the Mid-Atlantic Regional Spaceport at NASA’s Wallops Flight Facility in Virginia.
While the resupply mission was unsuccessful, NASA released a statement reassuring that “the crew of the International Space Station is in no danger of running out of food or other critical supplies.” The Russian ISS cargo supply ship that launched early this morning has now arrived successfully.
