The list of speakers who will present at the National Association of Flight Instructors (NAFI) Summit on September 21-23 has been released.

The summit will take place at the MAPS Air Museum at the Akron-Canton Airport (KCAK) in Ohio.

NAFI Summit brings together instructors and industry professionals from around the country who will have the opportunity to attend career and skill-building seminars, along with workshops, and, of course, take advantage of networking opportunities.

According to NAFI president Paul Preidecker, this year the presentations by industry leaders focus on four themes: leveraging technology, supporting pilot health and well being, enhancing industry and government relations, and integrating tips, techniques, and best practices.

“We are excited to bring this program of more than 30 presentations to Akron-Canton,” Preidecker said. “Attendees will gain valuable insights and information, see products and services from the exhibitors, and network with friends and colleagues.”

NAFI gets under way the afternoon of September 21 with registration and an opening reception. The educational sessions will be held at the museum from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. EDT.

Lee Collins, president of the National Flight Training Alliance, will deliver the keynote address: “The Value of Advocacy Groups in Flight Training.” Dr. Susan Northrup, FAA Federal Air Surgeon, will be the featured dinner speaker.

Among the seminars, attendees can choose from such diverse topics as what instructors and pilots need to know about MOSAIC, health and fitness, using autopilots as a teaching tool, the best application of flight simulation for teaching, artificial intelligence in flight training, aviation safety, and things that new instructors aren’t taught.

John and Martha King will be presenting their popular talk, “Elevating Safety Through Professionalism.”

There will also be several exhibitors who will display a wide range of training-related products and services designed to enhance the instructional environment.
