Key Takeaways:

  • Attendees of EAA AirVenture (July 22-28) should prepare for potential rain and smoke, with a rain poncho and face mask recommended.
  • Smoke from Canadian and western wildfires is forecast for mornings, but afternoon convective activity is expected to help clear it.
  • This weather outlook for Oshkosh, based on NOAA data, is provided by Scott Dennstaedt of EZWxBrief.

If you are heading to EAA AirVenture in Oshkosh, Wisconsin, to be part of the annual migration to the world’s largest fly-in, be sure to carry a rain poncho and perhaps a face mask.

That’s because both precipitation and smoke are a possibility during the airshow (July 22-28), according to Scott Dennstaedt, author of the EZWxBrief and a FLYING contributor.
