Cutter Aviation, one of the oldest one-stop aviation shops in the United States, has achieved the FAA’s Aviation Maintenance Technician (AMT) Awards Program “Diamond Award of Excellence” for its certified repair stations. 

The award is bestowed on organizations where 100 percent of eligible AMTs complete the FAA’s required training and certification for the year.

According to the company, 84 Cutter AMTs successfully complete the required training in 2024.

“We are proud of our team’s dedication to safety and quality,” said Dave Clifton, Cutter Aviation’s director of technical and flight support services. “This award highlights our commitment to upholding the highest standards of safety and proficiency within our MRO culture.”

Cutter Aviation was established in 1928 by William Cutter, making it the oldest continuously family-owned and operated FBO in the country.

Cutter Aviation offers aircraft fuel/line services, maintenance and avionics solutions, aircraft charter and management, and aircraft sales. Cutter Aviation’s network currently operates in nine FBOs throughout the Southwest, including Phoenix Sky Harbor International Airport (KPHX),  Phoenix Deer Valley Airport (KDVT), Prescott Regional/Earnest A/ Love Field Airport (KPRC) in Arizona, Albuquerque International Sunport (KABQ) in New Mexico, Colorado Springs Airport (KCOS), Georgetown Executive Airport (KGTU) in Texas, Centennial Airport (KAPA) in Colorado, Addison Airport (KADS) in Texas, and San Antonio International Airport (KSAT).
