Epic Flight Academy, the largest Part 141 flight school in the United States, has just announced a partnership with Metropolitan State University of Denver.
“We are thrilled to partner with MSU Denver,” said Danny Perna, founder and CEO of Epic Flight Academy (EFA).
The deal with MSU Denver represents Epic’s fifth college partnership. Other schools include Daytona State College, Polk State College, and Seminole State College—all located in Florida—and Purdue Global, an accredited online school.
Epic’s MSU Denver operation is based at Centennial Airport (KAPA). According to EFA, the partnership allows students enrolled in flight training to earn a bachelor’s degree in aviation and aerospace science with a professional flight officer concentration.
MSU Denver also has FAA approval to offer a restricted airline transport pilot (R-ATP_ rating. Eligible students with 1,000 hours of flight time logged by the time they graduate are eligible for the R-ATP.
“This gives our Colorado flight students an excellent opportunity to earn a Bachelor of Science Aviation & Aerospace degree by transferring their Epic FAA Part 141 flight training,” Perna said. “Earning a degree will enhance their career opportunities.”
MSU Denver professor Chad Kendall, associate chair of the aviation and aerospace science department, also lauded the academic partnership.

“We are extremely excited to partner with Epic Flight Academy to bring high-quality FAA flight training directly to Centennial Airport,” said Kendall. “This initiative not only increases our training capacity but also helps us continue to develop the next generation of professional aviators.”
