Epic Flight Academy (EFA), the largest Part 141 flight school in the country, has opened its 10th flight training campus at Provo Municipal Airport (KPVO) in Utah.

According to school officials, the ribbon was cut at the KPVO school on Saturday, October 4. During the event, representatives from Epic and Alpine Air Express, a Utah-based Part 135 cargo carrier, were there to celebrate and announced that the school has established a Pilot Pathway program for the airline.

EFA officials note the Provo campus serves a pivotal role in this partnership, as the school’s graduates who meet the airline’s eligibility requirements will be offered an interview with Alpine Air Express, “creating a direct bridge from flight school to the flight deck.”

Alpine Air Express operates a fleet of Beech 99, Beech 1900D, and 1900C aircraft. Since 1979 the airline has operated as a nonscheduled, on-demand air cargo operation reaching several states, including Utah, South Dakota, North Dakota, Colorado, Nevada, Montana, and California.

“Alpine Air Express is proud to partner with Epic Flight Academy to provide graduates with a clear and reliable pathway into aviation careers,” said Shawn Reeves, the airlines’ director of operations. “From pilot training to maintenance opportunities, Epic students can transition into one of the largest Part 135 cargo operations in the country, supported by mentorship, structured pay, and defined career growth.”

Danny Perna, founder and CEO of Epic Flight Academy, shared the enthusiasm for the partnership.

“With this new Provo campus, we’re not only expanding access to world-class flight training, but also strengthening our relationship with Alpine Air Express to ensure our graduates have a fast, reliable, and supported route into professional aviation careers,” Perna said. “This collaboration extends to Epic’s aircraft mechanic graduates as well.”

It has been a busy year for EFA, as the school that was founded in 1999 has opened five new flight training operations, including campuses in Addison, Texas; Englewood, Colorado; Tuscaloosa, Alabama; St. George, Utah; and now Provo. Epic also has four flight schools in Florida and one in Tucson, Arizona, along with aircraft maintenance technician programs at New Smyrna Beach, Florida, and Erlanger, Kentucky.
