Embraer Delivers Legacy 500 to Jackie Chan

Legacy 500 enters Chinese market.

Brazilian aircraft manufacturer Embraer has delivered a Legacy 500 to famed martial arts actor Jackie Chan. It is the first of the midsize fly-by-wire bizjet model to be delivered in China.

Chan became the Embraer’s brand ambassador in China in 2012 when he took delivery of an Embraer Legacy 650.

“In the past few years, my Legacy 650 has brought me fantastic traveling experiences and great convenience, allowing me to do more acting and philanthropic works around the world,” said Chan. “I’m sure that the performance of the new Legacy 500 will again exceed my expectations, and become a comfortable mobile home and office for me.”

And there is little doubt that Chan will be comfortable in the Legacy 500 cabin, which features eight club seats that convert to four beds, the latest in in-flight entertainment, connectivity, communication and cabin management, and a comfortable cabin altitude of 6,000 feet in cruise. The Legacy 500 offers a range capability as great as 3,125 nm with four passengers.

The Legacy 500 was first certified in Brazil in August 2014 and achieved type certificate validation in China in July 2015.
