Daher Introduces Optional Private Lavatory

For 2017, the TBM 900 and 930 get a potty that becomes fully enclosed with the press of a button.

It’s not often that an aft lavatory causes a stir at an aviation show, but aviation journalists and customers who tried out the new option from Daher for the 2017 model year TBM 900 and 930 couldn’t help but be impressed. The Elite Privacy option, introduced yesterday at EAA AirVenture, transforms the rear of the turboprop single’s cabin into a fully enclosed lav with the simple press of a button.

The configuration allows for the removal of the two rearmost seats and a change out to a side-facing bench seat with a low divider wall that converts to a private potty as a multi-segment partition controlled by two electric motors slides up and into place, providing the occupant with total privacy and even a mirror on the wall.

The Elite Privacy option weighs 90 pounds and can be fitted in the cabin in about 30 minutes.
