Cirrus this week launched a new aircraft trade-in and upgrade program that it says will simplify the purchasing process for buyers.

Cirrus Next will sell inspected, pre-owned Cirrus aircraft and accept trade-ins for certain types, specifically late model SR Series aircraft and all generations of Vision Jets. Specialists will handle every step of the trade, the manufacturer said, from valuation to logistics to paperwork, to keep the process simple for customers.

Trades and new aircraft delivery will be aligned so that buyers are never left managing two airplanes at the same time, or left without one.

“Cirrus Next eases the new aircraft upgrade process for SR Series and Vision Jet owners,” Cirrus CEO Zean Nielsen said in a news release. “We are dedicated to simplifying aircraft ownership, and with Cirrus Next, we aim to complement new aircraft sales purchases and our network of brokers by removing barriers, uncertainty, and downtime oftentimes associated with the transition.”

As part of the program, Cirrus will evaluate and refurbish pre-owned aircraft it plans to resell. Every aircraft sold through Cirrus Next will come with a detailed service and inspection record verified by the company’s technicians, according to officials, and because customers are buying from Cirrus, they will be directly connected to Cirrus ownership services.
