Bye Aerospace's all-electric eFlyer 2 has been granted a Special Airworthiness Certificate by the FAA, a crucial step towards its full certification.
This certification, following extensive inspections and testing, authorizes the aircraft to begin its flight test program.
The eFlyer 2 is designed for sustainable, low-cost, and low-emission flight training and general aviation, with Bye Aerospace having already secured over 1,000 orders for its eFlyer series.
The FAA has awarded Bye Aerospace, a developer of all-electric aircraft, a Special Airworthiness Certificate for the eFlyer 2, the company’s flagship two-place airplane.
The FAA issues Special Airworthiness Certificates for aircraft with unique operations needs, such as research and development.
