Bye Aerospace received a Special Airworthiness Certificate from the FAA for its all-electric eFlyer 2, a significant milestone following rigorous inspections.
This certificate authorizes the eFlyer 2 to begin flight testing, moving the company closer to full certification for its sustainable aviation solution.
The eFlyer 2 is designed for flight training, promising low operating costs and reduced emissions, and has already garnered an order book exceeding 1,000 aircraft.
The FAA has awarded Bye Aerospace, a developer of all-electric aircraft, a Special Airworthiness Certificate for the eFlyer 2, the company’s flagship two-place airplane.
The FAA issues Special Airworthiness Certificates for aircraft with unique operations needs, such as research and development.
