Tickets are on sale for the Bremerton Air Show in Washington state. The fourth annual event is scheduled for July 11-12 at Bremerton National Airport (KPWT) about 16 miles west of Tacoma.

Organizers said the event is a combination of historic aircraft, aerobatics, and family-friendly entertainment, calling it a “celebration of living history.” The airport has strong ties to World War II as the “PWT” in the identifier stands for Pacific Weapons Transfer, stemming from its days as a naval air facility used primarily for training and logistics.

The Bremerton Air Show is funded by the Collins Historical Aircraft Foundation, a Washington-based nonprofit organization dedicated to preserving historic aircraft and supporting the veterans who flew and maintained them. Each year the show aims to inspire future generations by letting them get up close to the aircraft they’ve read about or seen in movies—or perhaps were linked to an ancestor.

The airport is operated by the Port of Bremerton, whose officials are impressed at how the airshow continues to grow.

“The crowds grow bigger each year, and we are happy to see the interest our community has in enjoying the spectacular show in the air as well as the vendors on the ground,” said port CEO Jim Rothlin.

What to Expect

The 2026 lineup includes an F-86 Sabre jet, America’s first swept-wing fighter that rose to prominence during the Korean War. Although 7,800 were built between 1949 and ’56, less than 20 remain airworthy.

Along with the jet, expect to see multiple P-51 Mustangs and multiple static displays, including the Soaring by the Sea Foundation’s PBY Catalina and A-1 Skyraider.

A UH-1 Huey helicopter (with still-operable machine guns) will join a P-40 Kittyhawk belonging to the Erickson Aircraft Collection, which will also have its F4U Corsair and F6F Hellcat on hand, with the latter making its first appearance at the event.

Expect parachute demonstrations from the U.S. Special Operations Command’s Para-Commandos, and the Smoke-N-Thunder Jet Car.

“We strive to bring excitement to the event each year with a mix of aerobatic performers, historic military aircraft, and other acts that promise to appeal to everyone,” said Bremerton Air Show CEO Doug Fratoni.

Organizers added there will be many interactive displays, such as a Top Gun-inspired F/A-18 cockpit experience, M-4 flight simulator, Pureflight Cabri G2 helicopter experience, and a car show.

“The Bremerton Air Show is an event that we are proud to host as it provides an opportunity for local vendors to reach a large audience and brings a captivating, large-scale event to the people in and around Kitsap County,” said Port of Bremerton board of commissioners president Cary Bozeman. “We hope to see everyone supporting and enjoying this show alongside us and look forward to welcoming the roughly 10,000 people expected to attend.”
