Flying Eyes Sunglasses

Flying Eyes sunglasses

Flying Eyes, a new company out of Manhattan Beach, California, has launched sunglasses specifically designed with pilots in mind. The design features a strap made of soft, flexible webbing, which fits unnoticeably underneath an aviation headset and doesn’t appear to disturb noise cancellation. The strap is also easily adjustable to keep the glasses in position.

When you’re not flying, the strap can quickly be replaced with regular hard-plastic temples. The polycarbonate lenses are shatterproof, scratch resistant, and offer UV400 sun protection. And to optimize LCD-screen readability, the lenses are non-polarized. Prescription replacement lenses are available for the Flying Eyes through Sports Optical.

A zippered hard case is included to protect the Flying Eyes. The introductory price for the glasses, which normally retail for $199, is $179 through www.flyingeyes.biz.
