Diamond Aircraft and airBaltic have signed a letter of intent for airBaltic Training to acquire three all-electric eD40s and two DA42-VIs.
Deliveries of these new aircraft to airBaltic's pilot training academy are expected by 2030, increasing their total fleet to 15 airframes.
This investment highlights airBaltic's dedication to sustainable, cutting-edge pilot training, utilizing the eD40 as a step towards zero-emission, EASA/FAA-certified electric flight.
Diamond Aircraft and airBaltic have signed a letter of intent (LOI) to deliver three electric aircraft to airBaltic’s pilot training academy.
According to Diamond, airBaltic Training, a subsidiary of Latvian airline airBaltic, will take possession of three all-electric eD40s and two DA42-VIs. That will give the academy a total of 15 airframes for its clients to utilize.
