The airplane was located on the north side of a drainage area that leads up the center of the canyon, and it was approximately 250 feet below the canyons ridgeline. The fuselage was found in an upright but nose-down attitude pointed in an easterly (100 degrees) direction away from the steepest upsloping terrain that was west of the accident site.
