Embraer unveiled its "Energia family" of four concept aircraft, part of a "Sustainability in Action" initiative to achieve net-zero carbon emissions by 2050.
These concepts explore diverse sustainable propulsion technologies including hybrid-electric, hydrogen fuel cell, full electric, and hydrogen/SAF gas turbines, with readiness targets from 2030 to 2040.
The project involves collaboration with international partners and is a key part of the broader aviation industry's push to significantly reduce its carbon footprint.
Embraer is also advancing existing aircraft for SAF compatibility and developing electric demonstrators and eVTOLs as part of its sustainability efforts.

The details of the Energia family, the latest in the company’s Sustainability in Action initiative, were announced Monday from Embraer’s manufacturing facility in São José dos Campos, Brazil.
