On December 28, a Cessna 210 departing from Brookeridge Airpark in Illinois experienced a violent bird strike with a Canadian goose shortly after takeoff.
The goose smashed through the aircraft's windscreen, causing significant damage and scattering glass and body parts throughout the cabin.
Despite the chaotic and harrowing incident, pilot Keith A. Baird successfully executed a safe landing.

The two men shown in the footage took off from Brookeridge Airpark in Downers Grove, Illinois, on December 28 and struck a Canadian goose just a few moments into the flight.
