Bye Aerospace has received a Special Airworthiness Certificate from the FAA for its all-electric eFlyer 2 aircraft.
This certificate, issued after a thorough FAA inspection, is a significant milestone that authorizes the commencement of flight testing.
The eFlyer series is designed to provide sustainable, low-cost electric aircraft for flight training and general aviation, with over 1,000 orders already secured.
The FAA has awarded Bye Aerospace, a developer of all-electric aircraft, a Special Airworthiness Certificate for the eFlyer 2, the company’s flagship two-place airplane.
The FAA issues Special Airworthiness Certificates for aircraft with unique operations needs, such as research and development.
