Bye Aerospace's all-electric eFlyer 2 has received a Special Airworthiness Certificate from the FAA.
This certification is a crucial milestone, allowing the aircraft to begin flight testing and move closer to full certification.
The eFlyer 2 is designed for sustainable flight training, offering lower operating costs and reduced emissions, with Bye Aerospace already holding over 1,000 orders for its eFlyer series.
The FAA has awarded Bye Aerospace, a developer of all-electric aircraft, a Special Airworthiness Certificate for the eFlyer 2, the company’s flagship two-place airplane.
The FAA issues Special Airworthiness Certificates for aircraft with unique operations needs, such as research and development.
