Despite recent advances, current cockpit gadgets still lack critical functionalities like widespread in-flight internet connectivity for personal aircraft and direct navigation sourcing for certified aircraft autopilots.
A key limitation of existing gadgets is their inability to consistently assist pilots in making correct decisions during pre-flight planning or in-flight situations.
Future developments are anticipated to bring advanced capabilities such as Head-Up Displays (HUDs) that project various data from gadgets directly into the pilot's line of sight.
