At approximately 1330 mountain time, a Beech A-45 (T-34) hit the ground just short of runway 34 at McCall Municipal Airport. The pilot and his passenger suffered serious injuries. The pilot said he was practicing short-field operations when he got behind another aircraft that was going very slow on final. He decreased his airspeed to avoid landing while the other aircraft was still on the runway.
